1. Data We Collect
We collect the following information when you use TradingNews:
- Account information -- email address and name provided during sign-up via Clerk.
- Usage logs -- API request timestamps, endpoints called, response codes, and IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Payment data -- billing details are processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send transactional emails (billing receipts, key expiry notices). We do not send marketing emails without consent.
3. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following processors:
- Clerk -- authentication and user management.
- Stripe -- payment processing and subscription billing.
Each processor operates under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.
4. Data Retention
Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account. Usage logs are retained for 90 days, then aggregated and anonymized. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

If you are located in the EEA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
- Data portability -- receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
